After the light version of 3m-Erwin XL has thoroughly convinced, we expand our program and are pleased to introduce another lightweight-glider:

Elvira ultralight is an ultra light thermal floater with DLG feeling in XXL format. In addition, we offer the model also as an electric version.

Elvira ultralight combines the positive features of our 4.5-meter slope model Elvira and 3-meter light glider Erwin XL ultralight in one model:

Due to the large wing span and the high aspect ratio, the XXL-model has a considerable distance flight performance, the airfoil gives the model an excellent dynamic, especially when the model is fully ballasted.

Thanks to the low wing loading, the model also has fantastically simple circling properties with excellent climbing values. Due to the size Elvira ultralight can be controlled easily and uncritically. Even in weak weather the large model can easily be kept in the air.

The model has an extraordinary range of applications as the wing loading can be varied over a wide range.

Elvira ultralight is designed for slope and airflields. The model can be wonderfully launched with rubber high start. The electric version allows particularly simple recreational fun and is suitable for competitions such as RCMS.

NEW: Also available as CARBON-version with 39g non crimp carbon as outer skin!

As the outer layer of the wing is made of 50g glass fabric the wing has a good strength of the surface despite being so light. In addition, the D-box region near the fuselage serves as touching area for handling on the ground.
The radio is placed on the radio board in the fuselage cone.
The servos für controlling the V-tail are situated in the V-tail.

The wing consists of three parts, a middle part and 2 outer wings. A plug is let into the root ribs for electrical connection when putting the wing parts together.
The model provides precise and simple mounting of the levers due to prefabricated recesses.
It has aerodynamically designed control covers.

Rudder gaps are closed on wing and V-tail.
The servo boxes were optimized for all standard servos.

Elvira ultralight can be equipped with a hook. The model is especially designed for rubber highstart.

The kit contains carbon covers for servos
The elevator is removable.
Holes and threads for mounting the v-tail on the fuselage are pre-fabricated.
Accessory: wing- and tailcover
The model is also available as an electric version.
Engine, controller and battery are placed in the fuselage cone then.
Ballast can easily be added by varying between different connectors, the kit encloses:

Protection bags made of welded bubble wrap coated with aluminium foil (not included in kit)
Protection bags made of stitched foam material coated with aluminium foil
with fabric edging, practical velcro fasteners
