Elvira medium i s the logical link between the special variants of our 4,5-meter model. Elvira medium is suitable for almost all conditions on the slope and in the plane. Since the take-off weight is below 5kg, this version is interesting for those who had to do without Elvira so far due to statutory regulations.

The model is also available as electric version.

Modular construction:
The wing of the ErwinXL is identical with the outer wings of Elvira. This way you can easily convert from 3m to 4.5m.

Apart from the robust full-carbon construction Elvira will also be built in a lightweight version. In addition, the model will be available with electric drive. The luxury of easy starting and preventing outlandings is an enourmous advantage with models of this size. And you will hardly feel the
app. 150g additional weight while flying.

erodynamic design:
The profile gives the model an excellent dynamic flight characteristic, the high aspect ratio provides an outstandig distance flight performance. As a whole Elvira is much easier to be moved than her smaller relatives. Even in low weather the large model is easier to be kept in the air. Despite nearly 5kg flying weight Elvira can be easily launched in 1-man operation both on slope and electrically driven.

Fuselage with ready installed electronic parts
Prefabricated hollow for easy mounting of connecting plug between wing and fuselage. The plug is enclosed in the kit.

Prefabricated threads for easy mounting of the tail onto the fuselage.
Again, a plug can be let into the parts for easy automatic electronic connection.

The outer wings are produced as a sandwich construction. As outer skin we use 80g IM Spread-Tow carbon fibre. Upper sides are painted, undersides left in visible carbon.
The middle part is built with stiff shell without CFR-sandwich-construction.

Prefabricated screw holes on the middle part.
On the downside you can see the hollow for the plug.

Aerodynamically designed control covers
The servo boxes were optimized for all standard servos.

For electrical connection a plug can be let into the root rib (here middle part).
Twist pins are already installed.

Rudder gaps are closed on wing and V-tail.
All rudders are mounted with kevlar.
Covers for servos are enclosed in the kit.

Easy system for ballast by varying the connectors.
The package includes 2x carbon rods and 4x short steel bars.
Due to the extra weight in the wing the model flies calmly even in strong wind.
The ballast is placed in the wing to relieve the spar from additional load. This is advantageous especially for flying with high g-loads.

The wing is also prepaired for long steel bars (double size) as connectors.

Holes and threads for mounting the v-tail on the fuselage are pre-fabricated.

Servos are installed in the V-tail. The V-tail can easily be disassembled due to the plug built-in.
