Elvira is the logical continuation in our series of gliders. Thanks to it's great wing span, the high aspect ratio and the weight the model performs considerably better and retains more momentum than its smaller predecessors Erwin and ErwinXL.

Due to the elegant appearance we decided to welcome her as first girl in our family.

The model is also available as electric version.

Modular construction:
The wing of the ErwinXL is identical with the outer wings of Elvira. This way you can easily convert from 3m to 4.5m.

Apart from the robust full-carbon construction Elvira will also be built in a lightweight version. In addition, the model will be available with electric drive. The luxury of easy starting and preventing outlandings is an enourmous advantage with models of this size. And you will hardly feel the
app. 150g additional weight while flying.

Aerodynamic design:
The profile gives the model an excellent dynamic flight characteristic, the high aspect ratio provides an outstandig distance flight performance. As a whole Elvira is much easier to be moved than her smaller relatives. Even in low weather the large model is easier to be kept in the air. Despite 5.8 kg (plus approximately 150g depending on engine) Elvira can be easily launched in 1-man operation both on slope and electrically driven.

Since June 2018, our Elvira is delivered with a new design.

Fuselage with ready installed electronic parts
Prefabricated hollow for easy mounting of connecting plug between wing and fuselage. The plug is enclosed in the kit.

Prefabricated threads for easy mounting of the tail onto the fuselage.
Again, a plug can be let into the parts for easy automatic electronic connection.

Prefabricated screw holes on the middle part.
On the downside you can see the hollow for the plug.

Aerodynamically designed control covers
The servo boxes were optimized for all standard servos.

Stiff shell of the wing without CFR-sandwich-construction

Often transport and landings in rough terrain don't create permanent dents on the wing as this is the case with sandwich-constructions. All that remains are possibly some scratches.

For electrical connection a plug can be let into the root rib (here middle part).
Twist pins are already installed.

Rudder gaps are closed on wing and V-tail.
All rudders are mounted with kevlar.
Covers for servos are enclosed in the kit.

Easy system for ballast by varying the connectors.
The package includes 4x carbon rods and 4x short steel bars.
Due to the extra weight in the wing the model flies calmly even in strong wind.
The ballast is placed in the wing to relieve the spar from additional load. This is advantageous especially for flying with high g-loads.

The wing is also prepaired for long steel bars (double size) as connectors.
These can be ordered on request.

Holes and threads for mounting the v-tail on the fuselage are pre-fabricated.

Servos are installed in the V-tail. The V-tail can easily be disassembled due to the plug built-in.
Protection bags made of welded bubble wrap coated with aluminium foil (not included in kit)

and strengthenings at the wing tips
