With this model we are opening a new chapter at PCM. Fritz is our first flying wing in series. Many thanks to Fritz Koch for his inspiration and support! Here are a few impressions from test flying the prototypes: Video. More technical info in the building instruction (pdf-file).


The year 2020 is a special year in many respects, also for PCM.

Markus used the compulsory break of the shutdown during spring to pursue a long-cherished dream, for which he has never taken time. Half a year and a few prototypes later we can proudly announce:

The first flying wing from PCM is born!

Our new model is called FRITZ and has a wingspan of 1.5 meters. This extraordinary plane with the spectacular flight image takes your flying experience to a new level.

Construction:
Wing:
  • Shell made of airex und cascell as supporting material und 26g carbon non crimp fabric as outer skin
  • D-Box additionally reinforced with 39g carbon non crimp fabric
  • Leading edge additionally reinforced with glass fibre 2x 160g
  • Spar booms made of carbon / shear web made of balsa planked with glass / aileron-torsion webs made of carbon
  • Spars additionally reinforced in the area of the kink to the outer wings

Pre-fabrication:

 

  • All rudders are cut and mounted with kevlar
  • Openings for the servos are pre-fabricated, covers are enclosed
  • Most of the trim lead is already been glued in
  • Handle strips prepared for manual start
  • High start hook for bungee start is included
  • Rudder linkage over the kink is mostly pre-fabricated
  • Kitparts are included in kit
  • The building instruction will be available as a pdf-file for download
